(andPOP) - Is Ozzy Osbourne throwing in the towel on Ozzfest? Over his dead body.

After online rumours surfaced last week stating that the Oz himself would not be making an appearance at his own festival, fans were in a frenzy. Wanting to clear up the rumours himself, Ozzy shared a brief chat with reporters on Monday night via teleconference assuring them that he wouldn't miss it for the world.

Since 1996, the year of the first Ozzfest, Ozzy has performed at the festival sharing his namesake, and said that although Sharon "does not get involved in telling me about working," she supports his performing in the festival – and not for the reasons that her brother David Arden has recently been talking about.

Arden was quoted telling the press that Sharon would "keep Ozzy on the road until ... he dies on stage," and justified it pointing out that it was "because of her exorbitant spending."

Ozzy's response to his brother in-law was simply that he "needs to see a f---ing psychiatrist."
