The Guardians of the Galaxy return in Vol. 2! Set to the score of another kick-ass mix tape, the whole team is back to once again save the galaxy. After double crossing the Sovereign (a golden skinned race of snobby geniuses) their leader, the not so perfect heroes find themselves in the cross hairs of some very powerful beings. Sovereign high priestess Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) looks to Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) former Ravenger buddies to locate and return the Guardians to her for punishment. Looking to settle a score with Quill themselves, the Ravengers led by Yondu (Michael Rooker) accept the bounty on the Guardians and track down two of them, Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (voice of Vin Diesel).
The other three Guardians, Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Drax (Dave Bautista), have traveled to Ego accompanied by Quill’s newly discovered father played by Kurt Russell. There they meet the endearing Mantis (Pom Klementieff) an empath whose abilities astound Drax, she also warns the trio of a great danger facing the mysterious, isolated planet.
Family drama is at the centre of the second installment, in addition to Quill dealing with his daddy issues, Gamora and Nebula (Karen Gillan) take sibling rivalry to the next level while Drax starts to heal from his loss with the help of his new family.
