Hockey Faceoff with the Cast of Goon: Last of the Enforcers

Posted on March 16, 2017 by

Goon: Last of the Enforcers is the highly anticipated follow up to 2011’s fan favourite hockey movie, Goon. The directorial debut of actor Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon, This is the End), the sequel sees the Halifax Highlanders’ resident tough guy, Doug “the Thug” Glatt (Sean William Scott, American Pie) excelling in the minor hockey league. But, an altercation with rival hot shot Anders Cain (Wyatt Russell, 22 Jump Street) puts Doug’s career in jeopardy.

Forced off the ice, Doug must discover his new path in life, one that might not include hockey. Meanwhile, the Highlanders are in need of an enforcer, and much to the dismay of star player Xavier LaFlamme (Marc-André Grondin), they bring in Anders Cain to fill the void left by Doug.

Montreal Canadiens super fan Marc-André Grondin and former professional hockey player Wyatt Russell sat down with Evan Arppe from The Watchlist to put their hockey knowledge to the test.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers hits theaters across Canada on March 17. For more from the cast of Goon including Jay Baruchel and Seann William Scott tune into The Watchlist on CHCH Fridays at 9:30PM.
