It’s the most dreadful time of year — November. But that means one thing: the countdown to Christmas is beginning — and the music is following.

Arguably one of the best parts about this time of year is that, because not much happens in November, it’s officially time to start the Christmas music rampage. Right about now most of us are looking towards the holidays, trying to shop for gifts, pick out those Christmas party outfits and preparing for the snow, all the while singing along to some of our favourites. You know, while we’re still listening willingly and not at the mercy of poorly picked retail soundtracks.

So, while we wait for the snow to fall and the trees to be decorated, we turn on Christmas music to remind ourselves that the magic of it is almost here. Luckily, we’re never quite in shortage of Christmas tunes, whether they are classics, covers, or more modern pop tracks.

These are the Christmas albums you need in your life to get you through November.

Those holiday harmonies will melt you like the marshmallows in your hot chocolate.

We definitely wouldn’t mind spending Christmas with this country boy.

All hail the Queen of Christmas.

Lady Antebellum

Lady A can actually do no wrong.

Arguably the best Christmas album title in a long time.

Destiny’s Child

DC giving the holidays some R&B flavour.

What we wouldn’t give for Faith to make music again. That voice!

Adorable album. The duet with Leon Bridges… perfection.

Leona Lewis

If you’re looking for some great original Christmas tunes, Leona’s got you covered.

We definitely would’ve loved more than six songs, but we’ll take anything Matthew gives us.
