Mean Dreams’ Josh Wiggins and Sophie Nélisse Talk Being Young Actors & Play “Desert Island”

Posted on November 2, 2016 by

In Canadian thriller Mean Dreams, Josh Wiggins and Sophie Nélisse (The Book Thief) are Jonas and Casey — a 15 year old boy who steals a bag of money, and the girl he loves who comes for the ride. In the thrilling movie we see the two young actors — alongside heavy hitters like Bill Paxton — come together to flee their abusive homes, warming our hearts… and stressing us out a little bit.

When the pair were in town promoting the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival we caught up with them and the movie’s director to talk about the consistent rise of young actors, their incredible chemistry and so much more.
