Whether you went out, handed out candy or scrolled through Instagram, chances are you saw a number of great costumes over Halloween weekend.
This year — like every year — Hollywood went all out with their costumes. Some people went topical, some went for the scare factor, and others opted for sexier outfits. Some celebs chose to bring all the nostalgia with their choices, and some stuck with the classics. All in all it was an impressive year for Halloween costumes in the celebrity world. These guys and gals definitely came to play.
Halloween is the best time to show just how much you can slay. We just had to show our appreciation for the ones that really brought it this year, earning a spot on our Halloween favourites-list.
These are the 35 Halloween Costumes from 2016 that blew our minds:
Demi Lovato & Nick Jonas as Dorothy & The Scarecrow
We approve of this BFF costume. Side note: we didn’t know we could be attracted to a scarecrow….so…..thanks, Nick?
Nina Dobrev (and Taylor Lautner) as Ryan Lochte
Oh yeah, she went there. Taylor gets points for his Ryan Lochte costume and bonus points for the hair.
Drake as 2 Dolla Steve
Dat wig doe.
The Shadowhunters Cast as Superheroes

Chris Colfer as Alien
“Troy and Abed on HALLOWEEN”
Emily Bett Rickards as Neo
Because this girl hasn’t stolen our hearts already, she goes and does a kick ass Keanu Reeves character.
Halsey as The Bride
Wouldn’t wanna mess with her.
Victoria Justice as Beetlejuice
If we say it three times and Victoria Justice appears, we’d be okay with it.
Colton Hayes as Miss Piggy
This level of costume commitment is impressive — Colton comes to slay, not play, every single Halloween,
Pentatonix as, well, everything
Their costumes are as lovely as their harmonies.
Perrie Edwards as Poison Ivy
The Jonas Brothers once sang “Everyone’s alergic to Poison Ivy” but for Perrie we’d definitely risk it.
Matthew Morrison as The Joker
Really wishing we could’ve been his Puddin.
Zoe Kravitz as Princess Peach
More like Princess Peach with some fierceness
Dougie Poynter as Pans Labyrinth
This costume is so good it might just give us nightmares.
Blue Ivy, Beyonce & Tina Knowles as Salt-N-Pepa
This family Salt n’ Pepa costume is exactly why we love Beyonce.
JoJo as Cleopatra
Complete with a random bear head. Do you, guys!
Kylie Jenner as 2002’s Dirrty Xtina
This one was go good, even Xtina couldn’t believe how much she looked like her.
Luke Hemmings as Mia from Pulp Fiction
“Wanna dance?” -Luke to us, in our dreams.
Kelly Rowland as Dionne from Clueless
We’re glad Kelly is as big of a Clueless fan as we are.

#ImWithHer…Bonus points for BF Orlando Bloom’s Trump costume (we see you, OB).

Ariel Winter as Easy A’s Olive Penterghast
Is that Ariel or Olive Penterghast? We may never know.
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend’s daughter, Luna as Baby-Alice in Wonderland
This was just one of Luna’s many costume changes, and she looked like the cutest thing in every single picture.
Degrassi’s Ehren Kassam & Andre Kim as The Walking Dead’s Rick & Glenn
That Glenn costume might be a little too soon, Andre. But damn if it’s not a great costume.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum as a Unicorn
This costume makes sense because she is as magical as a Unicorn.
Rowan Blanchard as Marie Antoinette
Rowan giving us all the chills.
Mindy Kaling as Sully Sullenberger
Leave it to our girl Mindy to make us laugh with her costume and photo caption.
