Before Teenage Dream, before Broadway, Darren Criss made his way into everyone’s hearts with a cover of The Little Mermaid’s “Part Of Your World’ — which ended up being pretty telling for what would catapult the singer/actor to fame: covers.

And not just any covers. On Glee Darren premiered on the show in a big way — with a cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”  — and he’s covered a lot more songs originated by females since.

On Glee, in concert, Darren has re-arranged a variety of traditionally female tunes — from pop anthems to musical classics — to give them a brand new feel, and we’re about it.

Here’s 15 times Darren Criss transformed songs originally sung by women:

Part Of Your World (The Little Mermaid)

Darren and Disney — what more could you ever want?!

Teenage Dream (Katy Perry)

Truly a massive moment in Glee history that we will NEVER forget.

Hit Me Baby One More Time (Britney Spears)

Okay, we’re HERE for this stripped-down, piano-based version of Britney’s breakout pop banger. Also, we love how he hilariously weaved in Beethoven’s “Für Elise” — talk about combining the classics.

At Last (Etta James)

Damn Darren, back at it again with the flawlessness.

Hopelessly Devoted To You (Grease)

Doin’ Sandy proud.

Part Of Me (Katy Perry)

We’re obsessed with the haunting harmonies that Darren and his backing band created for this acoustic rendition of another one of Katy Perry’s mega hits.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow (The Wizard Of Oz)

Judy Garland smiles upon you Darren.

One Fine Day (Carole King)

It’s incredible how Darren embodies the emotional, romantic struggles of a woman so perfectly in his delivery.

The Coolest Girl (A Very Potter Sequel)

Nailed it. It’s almost like he wrote it himself….oh wait.

Fighter (Christina Aguilera)

Colours Of The Wind (Pocahontas)

Darren Criss: Musical genius. Also can never remember lyrics. Ever.

Bills, Bills, Bills (Destiny’s Child)

Okay, we’re starting a petition to change the name of the iconic girl group to Darren’s Child.

Happy To Keep His Dinner Warm (How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying)

Of course he had to take on the song he never got to sing in the show.

Reflection (Mulan)

This song is SUPER hard to sing — the original song from Disney’s Mulan was performed by Christina Aguilera on the official soundtrack — but we love how Darren changed it up, picking up the tempo and giving it more of a power ballad feel.

It’s Not Right But It’s Okay (Whitney Houston)

We’re obsessed.
