There is nothing like when the people of your favourite show enjoy making it as much as you enjoy watching.

You can never really tell if the chemistry between cast members goes beyond what we see on screen — it is called acting after all — so you can only imagine how our fan-girl hearts swell when we discover that the squads behind big small screen series are, in fact, friends IRL.

Interactions on social media, panel discussions, press tours and interviews of these animated casts (who are really families) give audiences a taste of the love co-stars have for one another. You can feel the genuine admiration these casts share and you can feel it in their on screen chemistry, when they allow one another to feel open and vulnerable to make the most of any scene.

Their inside jokes, flawless selfies and kind words are truly what friendships are made of.

Here are 11 TV show casts that are actually #FriendshipGoals:

Chicago PD

Family. Plays together stays together joke included. #ChicagoPD #SwiftAndSons #SquadGoals

The Chicago PD cast is SUPER close — just take a look at Sophia Bush’s caption on this Instagram pic. She affectionately refers to her co-stars as family, which mirrors the kind bond the actors share on screen as a police unit.

Orphan Black

No, Tatiana Maslany is not BFFs with herself. While the Canadian actress is certainly the star of the awesome sci-fi show — playing ALL of the clones — she’s close with her other fellow cast mates. They’re always hangin’ out! (Get it?)

How To Get Away With Murder

Hope you’re all gettin wickety weird on your long weekend #htgawm #tgit

The “Keating 5” may have their squabbles — but at the end of the day, they’d kill for one another. Literally. Off screen however, the young ensemble of the Shondaland series are super silly — constantly goofing around and making each other laugh.

Teen Wolf

From Comic-Con, one of my personal favorite pics of the boys.

As we all know, Teen Wolf gave birth to one of Hollywood’s biggest bromances — #Obrosey. But beyond ultimate BFFs Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien, the whole cast seems to be close.

Jane The Virgin

My two tv loves. ????

The Jane The Virgin squad is known for their awesome, behind-the-scenes Instagram videos from the set — and their incredible selfies, clearly.

Empire

One of our favourite things about the Empire cast is their #EmpireWednesday viewing parties. Coming together for some eats and great television?! Sounds like our kind of squad.

Arrow

We all know b now that it’s because of its cast incredible friendship that they have the BEST panels at events.

Criminal Minds

Damn, the Criminal Minds crew knows how to PARTY! Besides this incredible snap from Shemar Moore’s Instagram, the whole cast is known for taking selfies on set — proving their friendship goes beyond the BAU.

Supernatural

After over a decade of on screen brotherhood, it’s not surprising that Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are pretty tight IRL. The two goofballs are always hamming it up — known for poking fun at one another and pulling pranks.

Girl Meets World

About time we graduate middle school tonight on #GirlMeetsWorld please tune into our season finale tonight at 8:30!

Growing up on TV isn’t easy — which is why it’s so great to see the stars of Girl Meets World leaning on one another, particularly fictional BFFs Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter. Clearly their TV friendship has crossed over into real life, with the two talented teens sharing BTS snaps of the cast on Instagram.
