Some people just don’t age… making it that much harder to fall out of love with them.
Don’t get us wrong, we totally get it. Aging is a part of life and not everyone will be “young forever” — but there’s something validating about our biggest crushes in the 90s still being crush worthy to this day. Healthy? No. Accurate? Yes.
In the 90s we fell in love with all kinds of characters — geeks, single men raising young girls, princes of bel air – yeah, those were the times. We all wanted a Brandon Walsh in our lives, an uncle like Jesse, and a cousin like Will.
.. But what happened to the actors that portrayed these characters who made our hearts flutter every time they uttered their catch phrase? Did they find the fountain of youth and remain as young as we once remember?
Remain calm, because they did — these 90s TV heartthrobs are still as beautiful as we once remembered:
The talented actor and filmmaker is known for his great roles in 127 Hours, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and as Harry in the Spider-Man trilogy. In 1999, Franco starred in Freaks and Geeks as “freak” Daniel Desario. Safe to say, James could still portray a high school student 17 years later.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
If there’s one actor that every teenager knew in the 90s, that would be heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas — or Randy Taylor as was known in Tim Allen’s 8-season long show, Home Improvement. While Jonathan isn’t all over our screens anymore, he can be seen in a few episodes of Tim Allen’s latest series Last Man Standing as John Baker with some cute references to the past. Yes, he’s still as charming as ever.
Our uncle was never as cool as Uncle Jesse on Full House. We feel grateful that John Stamos not only was around when we were growing up — but is around now, as we’re full fledged adults (or so we’d like to think). Thanks to Stamos, a Fuller House reboot was possible and is really all we want to watch on Netflix nowadays. The actor never quite left our screens thanks to his roles in Glee, The New Normal and Grandfathered. Thanks for remaining a beaut, inside and out John!
Smith played a fictional version of himself on the popular 90s TV show, so it’s no surprise we all fell for the confident and talented actor. The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air has some exciting films ahead this year, including his role as Deadshot in Suicide Squad. If we’re speaking honestly, we still fangirl our pants off anytime we see Will.
Beverly Hills, 9O210 fanatics will agree on this one. Brandon Walsh, or better known as James Priestley to the rest of the world, hasn’t aged a day since he was on the 10 season long series in the 90s. He was the epitome of a heartthrob –good looking, kind and … good looking. 16 years after the finale, we can safely say we would still drop everything to go on a single date with this man.
There’s no escaping Mario — not that we want to anyways. Saved By The Bell’s A.C. Slater was not only a mega-babe on the 90s series, but is now a mega-babe co-hosting the show Extra — a 9 years long gig that he’s still enjoying. Along with being a great on screen presence, he still has the fresh young face he did when he was 16. Can we have what Mario’s having please?
Leto is know for his roles in Dallas Buyers Club, 2000’s Requiem for a Dream — and lets not forget his anticipated role as the Joker in Suicide Squad. Right, and he was the frontman in his band 30 Seconds To Mars. 90s teens, however, will remember Jared as Jordan Catalano in the one season show, My So-Called Life. Frankly, the man still looks as flawless as he did when we first laid eyes on him.
Marques Houston not only has acting skills, but he can dance, sing and look good all the same time. Watching him dance and sing is the single greatest thing that happened to us. Known for his role as Roger in Tia and Tamara Mowry’s show Sister, Sister, Marques has been on radar ever since. He’s since continued to charm us in movies such as You Got Served and sing his way into our hearts with his R&B group, B2k. Listen to Marques’ song “Naked” and tell us you’re not in love. You can also fall for the actor all over again with his upcoming film, A Weekend with the Family.
Hold on to your partners, because Boy Meets World‘s Jack Hunter still makes our hearts flutter. We can actually say that we spent the first 7 years of our life with this series. He still looks exactly the same as he did when he burst into our lives and Shawn Hunters in the iconic show.
Keegan appeared in a few 90s TV shows including Party Of Five,Thunder Alley and even an episode of Full House. While he was never a regular on any of these series, it was always a treat to see this actor shine on these shows. You may also remember Andrew as Joey in 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You. A decade later, the babe is still acting and still looking as majestic as he did when he was 15.
