The Trailer For Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children Is Here And We’re Excited AF (But Have A Lot Of Questions)

Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children is the book-to-movie adaptation we’ve all been waiting for — and its first ever trailer just proved that.

The adaptation based on Ransom Riggs’ book of the same name follows the story of Jacob (Asa Butterfield) who discovers a hidden place inhabited by some rather peculiar children following a death in his family. Jacob adventures into the peculiar world of these kids, their abilities, some seriously creepy creatures and…this just seems to be a good time to tell you this is also directed by Tim Burton.

Considering the detailed, eerie and fantastical trilogy Riggs created, we can’t think of anyone better suited to bring the crazy world to the screen than Tim Burton and this trailer makes that clear. The trailer shows the dynamic cast of characters and stellar cast (Eva Green, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench, and Samuel L. Jackson to name a few), teases at the plot line recognized by lovers of the books and…leaves readers with some questions:

1) Is switching Emma and Olive’s powers integral to the movie?
3) Why is Miss Peregrine so young? (Answer: Eva Green is flawless)
4) Why is Tim Burton
5) Why is my heart pounding
6) Why is this movie not already out?

We will get all of our answers when the movie hits theatres September 30, 2016. Until then, stay peculiar.
