MUST FOLLOW MONDAY: Jake T. Austin

Every Monday ANDPOP brings you a new hilarious personality to follow on Twitter. Because we care, we’ll be assembling some of their greatest tweets to date to reel you in and convince you to push that follow button. We aren’t forcing you to follow these people; we’re just STRONGLY SUGGESTING for your own personal enjoyment. Today, we STRONGLY ADVISE you to follow Jake T. Austin at @JakeTAustin

It goes without saying that Jake T. Austin has grown up. We loved him as the troublemaker and hilarious Max Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place, but he’s found a special place in our hearts as Jesus Foster on The Fosters, the ABC Spark show about a dynamic foster family.

Austin continues to steal our hearts as the lovable sibling, but Max and Jesus could not be more different. As Jesus, Austin expertly portrays what it is like to live with mental illness, and sheds a positive light on adoption.

He has dominated the TV scene not only with his serious acting chops (did we mention he’s 20 years old?), but also with the way he uses his influence as an actor. He’s lovable, talented, and puts his all into charity and bringing awareness — and that’s where his Twitter comes in.

Austin uses Twitter in our favourite way — to interact with fans, inspire and motivate them, and to bring charities and social issues to their attention. He helps start a dialogue with his fans and always, ALWAYS, connects with them by live-tweeting The Fosters, answering their day-to-day questions and returning the love they give to him.

Jake T. Austin is kind of our everything and we love how he loves his work and his fans. Warning, if you go follow him on Twitter (which, well, you should), beware The Fosters spoilers. The show is insane guys. In the best way possible.
