It looks like One Tree Hill heartthrob Chad Michael Murray will be added to the Marvel roster with his upcoming role in Agent Carter, a show based on the Captain America character.
We’ve missed him on our TV.
According to Marvel.com, Murray will take on the role of SSR Agent Jack Thompson alongside Hayley Atwell who will be reprising her role of Peggy Carter. Apparently Thompson and Carter are fated to meet when she heads to New York City to take on a new SSR role, which makes us excited to see how Murray and Atwell play off of one another.
The show, which takes place in 1946, will follow Carter as she comes to terms with being marginalized when peace brings back the men who were fighting abroad. Marvel’s Agent Carter will ultimately tell the story of Carters journey as a single women dealing with the loss of her love Steve Rogers all the while being kick ass on secret missions for Howard Stark (Tony Stark’s dad).
The show will be executively produced by Stephen McFeely, Chris Dingess, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Jeph Loeb, Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Christopher Markus, and Stan Lee. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will pen the script.
We have officially started to cross our fingers for cameos from Bucky Barnes and other Captain America characters. We have a lot of Sebastian Stan feelings.
