With countless celebrities sharing their thoughts in 140 characters or less, it’s almost impossible to keep up with what’s going on with everyone — until now. Every Friday, ANDPOP’s Gabriella Zicarelli will be rounding up the best celebrity tweets to help you stay in the loop. This week, Tom Hiddleston shows us just how adorable he can be and Kat Dennings mourns the 90’s.
Cowell Teases New 1D Music
Let’s take a minute to forget that Simon Cowell famously predicted that One Direction would break up after two albums, because the man has already listen to the band’s fourth album.
According to Uncle Si, the boys’ latest material is gold.
Listened to most of the new @onedirection album last week. It’s one of their best.

Naturally, this news left us
pretty VERY excited.
Robert Downey Jr. Gets Wet
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenged has raised millions of dollars all over the world, just over $1.5 million in Canada alone. While it’s been fun challenging all of our friends, we’ve loved watching some of our favourite celebrities, such as Robert Downey Jr., have ice cold water poured all over them.
Downey Jr.’s was just absolutely adorable as he even enlisted the help of his gorgeous and pregnant wife, Susan.

We’d also like to thank Robert for nominating Chris Hemsworth and making this happen.
Cruel Intentions Movie Night
Katy Perry took a break from touring by treating herself to a movie night that featured Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe in Cruel Intentions, or, as I like to call it, the time when Reese and Ryan met, got married and everything made sense.
Brb going to watch Cruel Intentions for the first time.
— KATY PERRY (@katyperry) August 17, 2014
Alas, leave it up to Mindy Kaling and Anna Kendrick to tweet random quotes from the flick at Katy.
“@katyperry: Brb going to watch Cruel Intentions for the first time.” “You can put it anywhere.”
— Mindy Kaling (@mindykaling) August 17, 2014
And now I want to watch Cruel Intentions.
Mourning The 90’s
The 90s were full of questionable fashions, cheesy music and equally cheesy movies, but that’s exactly what made the decade great. Apparently we’re not the only ones who miss dungarees and butterfly hair clips as Kat Dennings pretty much summed up our feelings in this one simple tweet:
My weekends are mostly spent being sad the 90s are over — Kat Dennings (@OfficialKat) August 17, 2014
Us too, Kat. Us Too.
Tom Hiddleston: A Man of Words
As we all know by now, Tom Hiddleston took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge earlier this week. Apparently, he had some issues with Twitter as well, but we’re pretty okay with it. Without his troubles, we wouldn’t have had this pleasant tweet to make us smile.
“Jiggery pokery.” Tom is officially the cutest Shakespeare-loving Brit. That is all.
Marianas Trench and 5SOS fans, Rejoice!
This week in “collaborations we never knew we wanted until now,” the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer have already begun writing new tunes and apparently one person Luke Hemmings really wants to collaborate with is none other than “Call Me Maybe” hit-maker and Marianas Trench frontman, Josh Ramsay.
.@JoshRamsay I want to write with you man ! 🙂
— Luke Hemmings (@Luke5SOS) August 20, 2014
Josh was quick to reply and is completely onboard with the idea.
Yeah, we’re excited.
It’s almost hard to believe it’s been 10 glorious years since Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles became the Winchester brothers on the CW’s Supernatural. In the midst of preparing to film the show’s 200th episode, Jared made sure to thank the wonderful people of the #SPNFamily for the constant support.

Whether they have us laughing in episodes like “Changing Channels” or leave us yelling at our screens at the end of the season because one of them is in hell or has died (again), we wouldn’t have it any other way. This calls for some pie!
