Lifetime’s Saved By The Bell Movie Looks Terrible In The Best Way Possible

Posted on August 19, 2014 by

Lifetime has done it again! The American TV channel has produced yet another B movie gem, this time with a Saved By The Bell movie.

According to Lifetime’s website, The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story will “delves into the experiences of six unknown young actors placed into the Hollywood spotlight, exposing the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen.” Degrassi: The Next Generation’s Dylan Everett will play everyone’s favourite smart ass with a heart of gold, Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris on the show).

The trailer already makes the movie look terrible — in the best way possible. Screech gets into a fist fight, there are threats of grounding Mark-Paul Gosselaar, there’s a pool party, cast bickering, acid wash jeans, steamy make out sessions… “Well, the network didn’t kill us but the hormones might,” says one TV exec. THAT’S CINEMATIC GOLD, I TELL YOU.

It looks so bad that we might actually tune in on Monday September 1 at 9 p.m. when it premieres. Will you?
