Single mom Pattie Mallette’s YouTube video of her then 12-year-old son singing Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” at a local talent competition was only meant for his family, but she ended up giving the world their first glimpse at an international superstar in the making.
From performing on the streets of Stratford, Ontario (a place more renown for its annual Shakespeare festival than a breeding ground for celebrities) to selling out arenas all around the world, Justin Bieber has morphed into one of the most recognizable, most talked about celebrities of the century in a matter of years. With swag like his, the 20-year-old manages to attract attention wherever he goes, both the good and bad kind. But that hasn’t stopped him from delivering hit after musical hit, not to mention making an effort to give back to the global community whenever he can.
As a long time Belieber, believe me when I say I’ve had a crush on this singing cuties since his good, ol’ YouTube days. So it shouldn’t be a surprise as to why Justin Bieber is this week’s #ManCrushMonday.
Not convinced? Here’s why I find him so crush-worthy:
He Has a Great Voice
Let’s start with his vocal ability. Remember when Justin covered “With You” by his now-friend, Chris Brown? His voice was so young, so adorable, so good for someone his age.
It has since matured into a soulful, R&B-ready voice that still continues to make my heart beat a little quicker whenever his song comes on the radio.
Here’s to celebrating seven years of Kidrauhl!
He’s A Musician
Justin can not only sing, he can also play a number of musical instruments, including the guitar, piano and drums.
In case you were wondering, he can also play many instruments such as guitar, piano, drums and did I miss anything?
Is there anything this kid can’t do?!
He’s Always Down For A Good Laugh
The boy’s got a sense of humour which, truth be told, is the way to any girls heart — especially mine.
Whether he’s goofing around for a Funny Or Die skit or hosting Saturday Night Live, he can always make us Beliebers laugh!
He also makes an adorable nerd.
He’s A Family Guy
Justin talks about his family so much that I feel like I personally know then. From award show acceptance speeches and interviews to Instagram and YouTube videos, it’s no secret that the Bieber family love each other very much.
Just watch how adorable he when he’s with his younger brother and sister, Jazmyn and Jaxon Bieber, as filmed by their dad, Jeremy.
Justin made us weep after he dedicated his Artist of the Year trophy at the American Music Awards to his mom, Pattie.
And we can’t forget about his grandpa and grandma who’ve always stuck by Justin’s side!
His Many Hairstyles
Justin is one of the few celebs who isn’t afraid to experiment with his look.

His Endless Charity Work
Say what you want about him, but Justin has always been more of an “actions speak louder than words” kind of guy in the best sense possible. The number of charities he has supported over the years is a long and endless one thanks to his strong “Give Back” mentality. We even did our best to round up just 20 acts of kindness, which is only just a small fraction of all the good things he’s done for the global community.
Because He Loves His Beliebers
Justin is never one to forget that his large, not to mention faithful group of Beliebers are the ones who have helped him become the international superstar he is today. When he can, he does his best to go out of his way to stop for fans waiting on the streets just outside his hotel just to make his Beliebers smile.
After hearing about 6-year-old Avalanna Routh’s, a pint-sized Belieber who had a rare brain disease, faux-marriage to Justin, Justin and his manager Scooter Braun flew Avalanna and her family to NYC from Boston for a special meeting back in 2012. Then, after she passed away months later, Justin paid tribute to Avalanna by playing a special photo montage during his performance of “One Less Lonely Girl” on the first date of the Believe Tour.
This is just one of hundreds beautiful, touching stories of how Justin touched the lives of his Beliebers. And if you want to spend a good day crying, My Bieber Experience is the perfect place for you.
Just met a an amazing fan Kim you know who you are. She said I saved her life those words meant the world.
