It’s a good day to be a fan of Troye Sivan.
Ahead of releasing his five-song EP TRXYE on August 15, the 19-year-old YouTuber/singer-songwriter from Australia revealed his debut single “Happy Little Pill,” on Wednesday.
Ethereal and moody, Sivan’s EDM single definitely showcases his R&B and pop influences which include the likes of Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Frank Ocean and Haim.
“I wrote this song during a bit of a rough time for someone super close to me, and for myself, and it still means as much to me as the day i wrote it, and i’m still as in love with it as the day i wrote it (which is rare for me!!),” he wrote on his Tumblr page. “I couldn’t be prouder to be giving it to you guys today :’) Thanks for sticking around for so long, for supporting me and other online talent, and for now listening! I have the best and craziest and most committed audience in the world, and I love you all endlessly.”
We don’t know about you, but we think this could be quite the summer jam!
