It’s been a while since we’ve seen Prison Break star Wentworth Miller on our screen but that’s about to change since he’s snagged an epic role in the upcoming  series The Flash. According to EW, Wentworth will be taking on the villainous role of Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold in the Arrow spinoff.

The big casting announcement was made on Friday at the show’s semi annual press tour session in Beverly Hills for the Television Critics Association. The show’s executive producer Greg Berlanti told the press that Miller will make his appearance in the shows fourth episode and that, “We’ll be seeing his origin and the origin of the Rogues.”

Those familiar with the comics will know that Captain Cold is not only The Flash’s greatest opponent, but is the leader of his enemy’s called The Rogues.

We can’t wait to see Miller act opposite the already stellar cast which includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen (The Flash), Kay Panabaker, Candice Patton, and Jesse L. Martin. More recently, The Tomorrow People’s Robbie Amell was casted in the recurring role of Firestorm. Geoff John, DC Comics chief creative officer, called The Flash “the most faithful DC adaptation ever,” during the conference.

The Flash will premiere this fall on Tuesdays on the CW
