5 Seconds of Summer

Every week, ANDPOP’s music aficionado, Evan Ross, shares what she’s been listening to lately. Here are her latest picks.

“I Can’t Wait” by All About She

A great new British band I discovered by reading Noisey. Check out this song and their debut EP on Soundcloud.

“Amnesia” by 5 Seconds of Summer

I tried really, really hard to fight the 5SOS bandwagon but it just couldn’t be done. I really like this song – it’s almost like a more angsty version of One Direction’s “Little Things”; think Harry Styles with eyeliner. (Also the one with the lip ring is très dreamy.)

“Take Me Away” by Bleachers feat. Grimes

I was very hesitant about Jack Antinoff’s solo project Bleachers as I have never really been a fan of fun. (why the unnecessary punctuation???) but this song is absolutely great. Sorry about the video….we didn’t have access to the official stream on Spotify. #CanadianProblems

“Tell Her” by Rizzle Kicks

What can we say about this British duo that hasn’t been said? They’re cool, they’re quirky, and they make our hearts beat a little faster with each song. Their latest is “Tell Her,” the first single off their forthcoming album. It’s slick, cool and can make any old fool groove.
