Keeping up with the times and making us all feel like we’re old, MTV announced the VMA nominations on Snapchat earlier today. Each announcement was eight to 10 seconds and featured up-and-comers Austin Mahone, Fifth Harmony and Becky G.

To no one’s surprise, Beyonce leads the way with eight nominations, including Video of the Year, Best Female and Best Video With a Social Message.

In second place with seven nominations were Iggy Azalea and Eminem, who were both nominated for Best Collaboration for their hits “Fancy” with Charli XCX and “The Monster” with Rihanna.

Voting for the awards is now open, and fans can do so at MTV.com.
