It’s hard to get past Keira Knightley’s American accent while watching the trailer for Laggies. But as we see her struggle through a 20s life crisis in her upcoming film, she wins us over anyways. After all, what isn’t Knightley charming in?!

Directed by Lynn Shelton, Knightley plays a 28-year-old women named Megan, who panics after her high school boyfriend (Mark Webber) proposes to her. As she lies to her new fiancé about going on a retreat, she hides out in the home of a 16-year-old girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) and her single dad (Sam Rockwell).

Since the film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, it has received mixed reviews. In a review for IndieWire, Emma Myers wrote, “even if the film doesn’t leave much to ponder past the closing credits, it’s enjoyable while it’s unfolding, doing justice to the strengths of Shelton’s ever-expanding filmography.”

Laggies releases in theatres September 26.
