Even though it’s no secret that YouTube sensation Troye Sivan has the voice of angels, we were stilled wowed in 2013 when he released his first original tune “The Fault in Our Stars,” which he wrote in honour of the John Green book by the same name. Now, after years of fun covers and yearly pop-culture wrap up songs, the Australian is scheduled to release his debut EP, reports Billboard.
The EP titled TRXYE will feature 5 songs including “Happy Little Pill,” the leading single which is slated to get a music video in late July. The 19-year-old revealed the exciting project in a video in which he shared that he wrote roughly 40 songs for the EP, and recorded it all over the world.
“I’ve spent the last year working with the most incredible producers and writers in the most incredible places” he divulged about his experience writing and recording.
According to Billboard, Sivan’s representatives have said that “numerous labels” have expressed interest in released the EP in the US, which is why it is not currently known who will be responsible for its Stateside release.
TRXYE will drop August 15.
Seriously, we are so excited we could dance.
