It looks like Queen Elizabeth II understands that when you play the game of thrones, you either live or you die. And considering she already has a throne to call her own (probably one that is much more comfortable), it seems like it was a risk she wasn’t willing to take during her visit of the Game of Thrones set in Belfast, Northern Ireland Tuesday morning.
With Prince Phillip by her side, the British Monarch decided to politely look at the elaborate Iron Throne and other set pieces. Truth be told, if we were there, we would’ve pushed the royal out of the way so we sit on the famous chair so we can experience what power might feel like. But that’s just us.
The Queen also met with a few cast members from the show, including Lena Hedley, Rose Leslie, Kit Harington (how she kept herself from climbing Kit like a tree, we’ll never know), and two of our favourite celebs on Twitter, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.
While she may have appeared stoic and calm on the outside, we would like to think the Queen of England was secretly freaking out and planning the many ways she could get Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin to write her into the series.
JUST IMAGINE THE TINY LADY NEXT TO DRAGON! SOMEONE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. STAT.
