Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams Is Done With Vine

Maisie Williams is one of the few celebrities who understands that comedy was Vine’s greatest strength — or at least it used to be.

The Game of Thrones actress recently revealed that she has sworn off Vine because she doesn’t like the kind of jokes that have been gaining popularity on the social media app.

“I don’t really go on it anymore. I don’t find it as nice of a place as it used to be,” she told Vulture. “I used to find it really funny, and now it’s just full of racial stereotypes, and I’m not really into that. It’s just taken a turn. It’s still fun, but it’s very hard to find jokes, and it’s not something I want to be as associated with anymore. It’s hard to get followers or to get likes unless you say something racist or sexist, you know? So I stopped Vine-ing.”

For a 17-year-old, it seems like a bold move to ditch the popular app for her morals. Her onscreen father, Ned Stark, would be proud.

But for those who have grown fond of Maisie the person, she still uses Twitter and Instagram. So make sure to get your Arya Stark fix there!
