Ed Sheeran has dropped his track “Don’t,” and it’s early. Thanks for loving us Ed.
Sheeran was kind enough to premiere the track before the release of his upcoming album, X. The so-called inspiration of the track, however, came with some buzz. According to Seventeen, it was previously reported that “Don’t” may or may not be inspired by Sheeran’s alleged relationship with Ellie Goulding. Goulding later confirmed that she and Sheeran were never in a relationship.
It’s funny how people jump to conclusions just because of a sassy song about an ex.
Nevertheless, the song is definitely an explicit “screw you” kind of song about a cheating ex. Rumours aside, Sheeran continues to outdo himself with his newer catchy and unique music. We loved +, and we have no doubt that his upcoming album X will knock us off our feet and have us wanting to sing along at the top of our lungs.
“Don’t” is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
