The next time you find yourself waiting for a delayed flight, take out your camera and start filming. Because like Richard Dunn, you might become a viral success.
According to CBC, Dunn was stuck in McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas after being bumped off two consecutive Delta Air Lines flights in exchange of vouchers. Therefore leaving him many hours of free time until his 6 a.m. flight the next morning, the Canadian-born man played around with his settings and shot a video set to Celine Dion’s “All By Myself.”
“I thought, well I don’t have enough time to go to a hotel so what do I do? I’ve got my phone and an empty movie set, lets see what trouble I can get into,” he said.
“And then our dear Canadian sister started streaming in my headphones, “All By Myself” and I thought ‘that’s it, that’s pure movie gold.’”
But despite being shot in a state of delirium, Dunn’s video was actually filmed really well. Edited on Final Cut Pro, the clip includes crescendos and a variety of intricate shots set in different angles.
Thankfully enough though, Dunn is back home in Canton, Georgia.
