Come Christmas time, you’ll be able to watch your favourite childhood bear on the big screen. And if this new trailer for Paddington is any indication of how silly and adorable it’s gonna be, we’re expecting the end result to be pretty gosh darn hilarious!
In this preview, Paddington is seen staying at Mr. Brown’s (Hugh Bonneville aka Lord Grantham from Downton Abbey) house, where Mr. Brown is trying to get some more insurance for Paddington’s stay. But while the idea of a bear staying over at someone’s place may seem a bit silly, what happens upstairs in the washroom makes everything a little more ridiculous as Paddington ends up flooding the washroom.
According to IMDB, the synopsis for Paddington reads, “A young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family, who read the label around his neck (‘Please look after this bear. Thank you.’) and offer him a temporary haven.”
Directed by Paul King, the voice of Paddington will be voiced by the delightful Colin Firth. Sally Hawkins, Nicole Kidman and Peter Capaldi are among some of the other famous actors set to appear in the film.
Paddington comes out on Christmas Day.
