James Franco and Seth Rogen Try To Assassinate Kim Jong-Un in “The Interview” Trailer

Posted on June 12, 2014 by

James Franco and Seth Rogen profess their love for one another in the first trailer for the comedy-action flick, The Interview.

The film follows a talk show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen) as they are granted a rare interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un (played by VEEP’s Randall Park). While they’re hoping to legitimize themselves as journalists, the CIA have other plans for the duo. In fact, the intelligence agency have recruited the two to assassinate the dictator.

Ahead of the trailer’s Thursday morning release, Rogen shared the film’s poster on Twitter.

While the propaganda-like artwork is amazing, our favourite part of the poster has to be the film’s tagline: “From the western capitalist pigs who brought you Neighbors and This Is The End.”

Written and directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg (they wrote Superbad together), expect this film to include a lot of same dirty juvenile jokes, hi-jinks and bromance as their first directorial effort, last summer’s big hit This Is The End.

Also starring Lizzy Caplan, The Interview is scheduled to hit theatres in October.
