Instead of soaking up the first it’s-so-hot-because-of-the-humidity day of the year, we, along with 100 lucky fans, got to spend an evening with the beautiful boys of Rixton.
Enjoying the sweet air-conditioning at Toronto’s HMV Underground, the British quintet performed five songs for a small but wild crowd. They did an acoustic set that included covers of Drake’s “Hold, We’re Going Home” and R. Kelly’s “Ignition,” as well as their own songs, including the Ed Sheeran-assisted “Hotel Ceiling” and “Speakerphone.”
They also dove right into their breakout hit, “Me And My Broken Heart.” Later on in their performance, lead singer Jake Roche couldn’t help but ask his bandmates Charley Bagnall, Lewi Morgan and Danny Wilkin if they were “feeling sexy.” The answer: of course they were.
While their performances were utter perfection, it’s this kind of fun, playful stage banter that makes you love Rixton more.
But just wait until you see our full Tweet2Meet interview with the guys NEXT WEEK. Now that was lots of fun!
