As an admirer of British pop culture, ANDPOP’s Rebecca Mattina jumped at the opportunity to live in the United Kingdom for five months. While there, she’ll be writing about all the amazing things we’re missing out on from across the pond.
Sometimes we have to sweat the small stuff, because as Nick Grimshaw would say, “the little things in life really are worth sweating over.”
Grimmy (as we affectionately call him) is the host of the celebrity panel show, Sweat the Small Stuff (or what will soon be known as your new method of procrastination). Every week Grimmy and his team captains, Rochelle Humes of girl group The Saturdays and radio DJ Melvin O’Doom, spend 30 minutes trying to win as many points for their team as they can, courtesy of his hilarious games and challenges.
Each episode had its share of “unique” games, to say the least. You might remember hearing about the game Caroline Flack played where she threw bottles of pee at cardboard photos of celebrities. I still feel bad for Harry Style’s cardboard face.
Grimmy is both cheeky and sarcastic, but also easy-going and able to make us laugh without much effort. Honestly he should have had his own show sooner.
You’ll be able to spot some familiar faces as you watch each season, or series as they call it in the U.K. Kelly Osbourne, The Wanted, Alexa Chung, and Union J are just a few examples of the friends he brings onboard. That’s some pretty impressive star power.
You can catch the last episode of series three on May 27. All of the older episodes are also on YouTube. It’s a must watch; otherwise you’ll be sweating it if you don’t.
Grimmy thinks so too. Just look how excited he is. How can you say no to that face?
