This year’s annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum (also lovingly known as the MET Ball or MET Gala) brought out some of the most influential names in fashion, art and entertainment. There, attendees showed off an assortment of awe-inspiring, architectural ball gowns, long, slinky dresses and edgy couture pieces. This year, the MET exhibition celebrates the work of designer Charles James, encouraging celebs to step back and rework the definition of elegance, making for one entertaining night.
Emma Stone opted for an ultra-feminine ensemble that had her wearing a head-to-toe pink look from Thakoon. She shook up the endless line of reserved gowns by paring a pink knit cropped tank with a long draped fuchsia skirt with a deep split to show off just enough skin. Aside from rocking the season’s hottest colour, Stone played up the girly-girl vibe with her peachy make-up, soft pink lips and beachy side-swept braid that makes for a perfect summer look.
Channel Emma and don’t be afraid to make a statement this summer in hot, bold pinks paired with playful accessories and laidback hairstyles.
