Tove Lo Talks Love, Music and ‘Habits’

Posted on May 14, 2014 by

Born Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, Stockholm-native Tove Lo has penned songs for girl groups Icona Pop and Girls Aloud and more recently, she contributed the song “Thousand Needles” to Glee actress Lea Michele’s debut album Louder.

Tove Lo’s own breakout has become a steady burn that’ll soon be ignited. Her music is full of life — the good, bad and the ugly. Her pop singles “Love Ballad” and “Habits (Stay High)” are infused with the kind of energy that makes you want to run around and yell at the sky. But they’re also tinged with the kind of melancholy that only results in being in a great love.

ANDPOP’s Simon Mohos gets the low down on what this Swede has been up to lately. While scrolling through a selection of her Instagram photos, Tove Lov spills on how she made that wild “Habits (Stay High)” music video, the crazy things she’s done for love and her relationship with Sweden’s other big pop export, Icona Pop.

Smack the play button for all that and more!

Tove Lo’s EP, Truth Serum, is available now.
