Justin Timberlake pays homage to the forever King of Pop Music, Michael Jackson, in MJ’s latest music video for “Love Never Felt So Good.”
Off of the post-humous album Xscape, “Love Never Felt So Good” has Justin Timberlake singing along to a Michael Jackson vocal track that was first recorded back in 1983. The vocals were originally sourced from a demo of a song that Michael Jackson wrote with none other than Paul Anka. R&B singer Usher was the first to debut and perform the MJ track at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last week.
In the music video, Justin Timberlake and a handful of other dancers shows off his best MJ moves as clips of Michael Jackson play in the background. The song itself is not too shabby; we’ll always be fans of Jackson’s early eighties vocals and the disco feel doesn’t feel out of place these days thanks to Pharrell and Daft Punk’s hit song, “Get Lucky.”
Xscape features 16 new Michael Jackson tracks: eight of the original recordings and its contemporary counterparts. The album was executively produced by Epic Records CEO former X-Factor judge L.A. Reid who recruited the likes of producers Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain to contemporarize the tracks.
