The CW Cancels The Carrie Diaries and The Tomorrow People

AnnaSophia Robb as carrie bradshaw

The CW, a.k.a. the home of our favourite dramas, has cancelled The Carrie Diaries, Tomorrow People and Star-Crossed.

No! Not The Carrie Diaries! AnnaSophia Robb’s (as the younger version of Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw) curls were just so quaint, the eighties fashion were actually kind of cute and Austin Butler (a.k.a. Vanessa Hudgens’ current boo) was just so good looking! And who could forget about Canadian Ellen Wong’s role as the nerdy but much beloved Mouse?! We’re going to miss her too!

What are we to do now that Amell Wednesday will never happen again? It was just so fun to watch Stephen Amell kicking ass in Arrow (the series was renewed earlier this year) and then his cousin, Robbie Amell, on Tomorrow People in the same night! Sigh.

While we’re completely heartbroken over the news, it’s sounds justifiable for The CW to do so: The Carrie Diaries only averaged 1.1 million people per episode, Star-Crossed 1.3 million and Tomorrow People 1.9 million.

At least we still have Reign, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Arrow and The Originals to look forward to next fall. The shows were renewed by the network earlier this year.
