Cher Lloyd lets her barriers down and gets personal in her new “Sirens” music video.
In it, the Sorry I’m Late singer gets caught up in some trouble thanks to her partner and his friends. The police even storm their home as Cher sneaks out and sets fire to a mystery bag to save everyone.
Choosing the power ballad “Sirens” to be her lead single off of her next album, Sorry I’m Late (out May 27), is quite a departure for Cher. She usually releases upbeat, danceable pop tunes, such as “I Wish (feat. T.I.)” and “Want U Back.”
The singer even acknowledged the departure on Twitter last week:
I can’t put into words how personal my new video is. I’ve let my barriers down for the first time. Thank you for always being there for me ????
