If you haven’t seen Skins, otherwise known as the best E4 show ever, SHAME ON YOU because our latest Woman Crush Wednesday, Kaya Scodelario, was fantastic in it.
Kaya Scodelario made her big TV debut as Effy Stonem, the younger, quieter, yet more devious sibling to Nicholas Hault’s Tony Stonem in the no-holds barred, teen dramedy Skins. As Effy, she ran wild partying into the early morning hours and making all the boys fall in love with her bad girl ways.
After her original four season run on Skins, Kaya scored some notable roles alongside Sam Rockwell in 2009’s Moon and Dakota Fanning in 2012’s Now Is Good. Fans can catch her next in the upcoming YA adaptation, The Maze Runner with Dylan O'(hottie)Brien.
If that wasn’t enough to make her your Women Crush Wednesday, maybe this list will:
1. Her Eyes
We’re being a little shallow here, but we can get lost in Kaya’s gorgeous blue eyes for days.
2. She’s Effy Stonem
On Skins, Effy Stonem was the myterious girl who just wanted to live her life as fast as possible. She was the girl every girl wanted to be and the girl every guy wanted to have. Kaya’s perfect mix of vulnerability, badassery, and attitude is the main reason why we fell in love with her.
3. She loves her fans
Musicians and actors receive many fan-books (a book from a fan with of reasons why they love their fav celeb), but you never know if your idol actually reads them. Kaya got a beautiful fan-book recently from a fan, and loved the book so much she shared it with all her Instagram/Twitter followers!
4. She’s One of Us
Not every girl can admit that they can be as dirty as the boys, but Kaya is no ordinary girl. Back in 2013, the actress admitted to Heart Magazine that she’s the messiest person in the Skins cast and that she “farts a lot.”
She also revealed that she cried the night before because she watched one of Beyoncé’s performances.
5. Her charity work
The 22-year-old was one of the many famous celebs who posed for her former Skins co-star Kathryn Prescott’s photography exhibition which aimed to raise awareness for the homeless.
I bet you love her now, right?
Well, we can’t wait to see this star in The Maze Runner when it hits theatres later this year, but for now:
