With festival season quickly approaching (thanks for the reminder, warm weather!), it’s time to get familiar with the many bands we’ll no doubt be hearing about all summer long. One name to look out for is Scotland’s Biffy Clyro, a rock band who are no stranger to the outdoor stage.
Having headlined one of the U.K.’s biggest outdoor festivals last year, the one and only Reading Festival, the band are ready to do it all again. They’re scheduled to grace the Isle of Wight Festival and T in the Park with their classic rock sound this summer. Already big in the U.K., they’re poised to break onto the North American scene any minute now.
ANDPOP’s Caity Babcock got the chance to sit down with Biffy Clyro singer Simon Neil during the band’s last visit to Vancouver. They talk headlining Reading Festival, hotel parties and trying to stay as normal as possible in the face of stardom.
