Kids won’t have to wait until Halloween to start dressing up as fashion designer Stella McCartney has teamed up with Disney and Angelina Jolie to release a special kids clothing collection inspired by the upcoming Maleficent movie.
The collaboration began after Angelina Jolie invited the British designer to the Maleficient set.
“There is a bit of a darkness to ‘Maleficent’ which can be really scary at times but at the same time visually brilliant,” McCartney tells Women’s Wear Daily
According to the website, the capsule collection includes eight playful styles for boys and girls ages four to 14 and are based on the film’s characters in the movie.
The clothes will be available until the end of April at all Stella McCartney stores, online and in Disney stores worldwide says WWD. Ranging in price from $75 to $185, ten percent of all sales from McCartney stores and online will go to SOS Children’s Villages, a charity that helps orphaned and abandoned children. It is also a cause that Jolie has been a longtime supporter of.
Maleficent by Stella McCartney Kids is just another way the British designer has expressed her love for everything Disney. In the past, McCartney has worked on a jewellery line for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and has featured Disney characters in her ad campaigns.
The kids clothing line comes in advance of Maleficent‘s May 30 theatrical release.
