It looks like Kendall Jenner’s Instagram photo shoot for Vogue was just the warm up as her older half-sister Kim Kardashian has finally landed her own cover for the fashion bible. The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star shared an image of her cover with her fans over Instagram on Friday.
Wearing a creme ball gown, the reality television star looks like the perfect bride in the arms of her fiancé, rapper Kanye West on the April cover of the famed magazine. Fittingly enough, the tagline for their story is #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple.
The couple’s nine-month old baby, North West, was also part of the couple’s photo shoot, according to Vogue.com’s behind-the-scenes video.
It’s no secret that this is a major coup for the Kardashian. Rumours over how badly Kim has wanted to be on the cover of Vogue have been swirling for years.
But it seemed like a tall order as various gossip rags have claimed that Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour a.k.a. the inspiration behind the movie The Devil Wears Prada, refused to put the reality television star in any sort of spotlight, even going as so far as banning her from attending the MET Ball, one of the fashion industry’s biggest events of the year.
That apparently all changed when Kim became Facebook-official with Kanye, who just happened to be one of fashion’s biggest influencers. According to various whispers, Kanye has been actively persuading Wintour to grant this wish, and helping the Kardashian push her way into the fashion world by landing spreads in various high fashion magazines such as V and CR Fashion Book.
The couple are planing to officially say “I do” to one another in Paris, France on May 24, according to Us Weekly.
Congratulations, Kim, on finally landing the cover and man of your dreams. The third time’s a charm, right?
