LISTEN to Lea Michele’s New Album, Louder, NOW!

Posted on February 28, 2014 by

After a year in the works, Lea Michele is finally releasing her first solo album! While we may only be a few days away from the official drop (March 3), you don’t have to wait until Monday to get your Lea Michele fix. Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about her new record, Louder.

The 11 song album (with a deluxe version including an additional three songs) is currently streaming in full on iTunes. Michele tweeted about the album preview on Tuesday.

The live stream has given fans the chance to hear the raw and emotional “If You Say So.” Written only seven days after the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, she shares her experience with grief through song. The track, which helps wrap up the album, includes heartbreaking lyrics like “The fallen hero haunts my thoughts, how could you leave me this way?” and “It’s been seven whole days without your embrace. I wanna see your face. I’ve got some things to say.”

Grab some tissues and chocolate to get through this one and have a listen:

Michele also attended a listening party for the album on Feb. 26, tweeting a photo from the event.

The listening party was a chance for Michele to share her album with a select group of journalists and promote the album and reasons behind some of the songs.

“As awkward at it might be, we needed to find something to explain to people how I am,” Michele told PopSugar. And her first single “Cannonball” was the song she felt best sums up how she is doing.

For the average Joe who wasn’t at the listening party, in a new video with Vevo, Michele tells fans about the album, track-by-track. You can check out this video at the top of the article.
