“Midnight” by Coldplay

Coldplay are back and they sound a whole lot different. There’s a bit of a Bon Iver vibe here and I love it, hopefully this is an indicator of what their next album is going to be like.

“Break the Bank” by Schoolboy Q

A friend of Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q released his latest album Oxymoron this week and this is the latest single from the album. Look out for Schoolboy Q to be a big deal in rap this year.

“Tessellate” by Alt J

I was very late to the Alt J party but I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head. The vocals are haunting and I constantly find myself looking up their lyrics on rap genius. Also check out the great Ellie Goulding cover of this track if you have the time

“End of the Earth” by Lord Huron

This is another song that seems to be following me around. I first heard it as the only song in the kid’s movie Walking With Dinosaurs. After hearing it constantly in a commercial (I have no idea what it’s advertising but I always find myself crying) I decided that I had to find out what it was called. So here we are…it’s still stuck in my head but now it’s on my iPod too. Modern technology really is great.
