How many of you wish you could communicate telepathically with your friends of move objects without actually having to do any physical work? Or how about being able to teleport?
If you answered “yes” to any of those, you’re saying you wish you were a “tomorrow person”: a superhuman species and the focus of the CW’s latest original drama, The Tomorrow People.
Hopefully you’ve been following the show all season and if you haven’t well, you’ve missed one heck of an episode before the two week break. Not to spoil anything if you haven’t seen the show, but you’ll soon learn that having powers (telepathy, telekinesis and teleportation) runs in the family and the more power in the family, the more powerful you are.
In the past few episodes, Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) was trying to protect his best friend, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), from being killed (since she knows about his powers and the tomorrow people’s existence) which leads Stephen to discover he’s not the only living member of his family who has powers.
Leading up to the show’s return, the CW has released a new clip from episode 14, “Brother’s Keeper.” Knowing Stephen is trying to protect his younger brother Luca and his BFF Astrid from the secrecy that is the Tomorrow People, it’s apparent that Stephen is willing to go to great lengths to keep those he loves safe.
If this clip doesn’t entice you enough to watch the show, here are 5 reasons you need to watch The Tomorrow People:
1. Robbie Amell
You may have drooled over him when he played Max on Life With Derek and he’s the cousin of Arrow‘s Stephen Amell
2. Luke Mitchell
A hot Australian (though he has an American accent in the show) who likes to go shirtless and is a fierce leader and protector
3. You get to see what life would potentially be like if you had the powers you’ve always dreamed of
That includes the good, the bad and the ugly
4. Alexa PenaVega is a recurring guest star on the show
She may look nice, but the girl kicks some serious ass.
5. You may think it’s a simple show at first, but with the plot twists they’re throwing at us now, the show is only going to get better
The Tomorrow People is back with an all new episode tonight (Feb. 26).
