Kendall Jenner has made a huge leap forward in her burgeoning modelling career as the Kardashian half-sister walked down the runway for American designer Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2014 fashion show in New York City Thursday night.
Not only does this mark the first time the 18-year-old reality star has worked with a major designer (Marc Jacobs is consider to be an important figure in the current American fashion scene), she also bared her breasts in a sheer brown deep v-neck top.
This isn’t the first time Kendall has had her turn down a New York Fashion Week catwalk. The reality TV star has previously modelled clothes for her half-brother Brody Jenner’s then-beau Avril Lavigne’s clothing line and cocktail dress designer Sherri Hill.
Shortly after her Marc Jacobs gig, Vogue magazine released an image of Kendall wearing yet another Marc Jacobs look on their official Instagram account. It was the first of three images (our count at the time of publication) where the reality star models looks from different designers while pretending to take selfies on her phone.
Kendall’s Instagram photo shoot with the fashion bible may be a positive indication that the American magazine has finally warmed up to the reality television family. It’s no secret that her big sister Kim Kardashian has been trying to get her own Vogue cover for years, with support from Kim’s rapper fiancé, Kanye West. Word on the street was the mag’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, has been cold shouldering those requests — until now. Rumours of a Kim Vogue cover have been ramping up since the start of New York Fashion Week with Vogue doing little to try to squash them.
So could a Kardashian cover be far behind? And who will be the first Kardashian to be featured in the pages of Vogue, Kendall or Kim? Only time will tell.
