“THe X Factor” Gets Cancelled After 3 Seasons

Posted on February 8, 2014 by

The X Factor USA is getting the ax after three seasons.

On Friday, Fox and the show’s production companies announced that the singing competition won’t be coming back this fall. With that cancellation, creator and executive producer Simon Cowell will return to the U.K version of The X Factor later this year.

“I’ve had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on ‘The X Factor’ and ‘American Idol,’ ” Cowell said in a statement. “And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public — most of the time!”

Throughout its three-season run, we saw American version of The X Factor go through several judge changes with the likes of Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland. In addition to that, we were also introduced to stars Carly Rose Sonenclar, Fifth Harmony and Emblem 3.

How do you feel about this cancellation? What were the most memorable performances??
