Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie Talks About Barney Smoking Cigarettes

Posted on February 5, 2014 by

A lot can change in ten years.

Every since joining Panic! At The Disco in 2004, frontman Brendon Urie has seen the band transform and change into the pop punk band they are today. That meant getting signed to Fuelled by Ramen (where they count the likes of Paramore and Fall Out Boy as label mates), losing founding members Ryan Ross and Brent Wilson, and having bassist Dallon Weekes join Urie and the band’s other founding member, drummer Spencer Smith, to form their current line-up. Despite those changes, the band has managed to show the world their versatility with every album release with the same kind of confidence and flair they first broke out with.

Instead of musing on the band’s past, Caity Babcock takes Urie Way Back When and asks him about his childhood. From Barney smoking cigarettes to his first concert, the Panic! At The Disco singer was game for divulging his embarrassing stories. He and Caity also Vine one pretty mean “Hardcore Wednesday” video.
