Girl Meets World Set Still

It’s Friday and I’ve got some exciting news for all you TV junkies out there.

1. Girls Meets World gets a full season

If you’re like me and obsessed with 90s TV shows, Boy Meets World is probably at the top of your favourites list. I’m also guessing you were just as excited when you found out a spinoff series, Girl Meets World, would be produced. Well, things just got a whole lot better as Disney Channel announced yesterday that they’ve officially picked the series up for a full 21 episodes! There is no official release date yet but I’m just excited we’ll have a full season with Corey, Topanga and company.

Ben Savage, a.k.a. Mr. Cory Matthews, was just one of the cast members to tweet the exciting news.

He also posted this photo a couple of weeks ago, captioning it “The Matthews Family.”

2. Glee reaches 100 episodes

This is a milestone year for many TV shows and Glee is marking its own place in TV history in March. Production has recently begun on the series’ 100th episode and will see the return of many favourite cast members. The returning cast will include favs like Diana Argon, Mark Sailing, Heather Morris, Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr, with special guest appearances by Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth. This episode is a two-part event airing on March 18 and 25.

3. Mer-Der is safe for now

Grey’s Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey) and Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd) have renewed their contracts for another two years. Though the show has not officially been picked up for an eleventh season, these two original cast members will be there when it does. Sadly, they won’t be joined by Sandra Oh (Dr. Christina Yang) when the current season ends. We will still have to wait and hear if other show favourites like Justin Chambers (Dr. Alex Karev) and Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey) will be back next year too.
