Unlike the rest of us, actress Emma Watson looks to be set on making serious life changes in 2014. Not only has Watson broken up with her boyfriend, she will also take yet another hiatus from making movies to focus on finally wrapping up her college education.
In fact, Watson is set to graduate in May with a degree in English from Brown University.
Like her Harry Potter counterpart, the bookish Hermione Granger, it’s no secret that the actress has always been serious about getting an education. Watson enrolled at Brown in 2009 after wrapping up the Harry Potter series (save for a few reshoots). She later took a break from her studies to film The Perks of Being A Wallflower and The Bling Ring.
It may have also been her heavy work schedule that would force her and her long-term boyfriend Will Adamowicz to break up. “Emma and Will separated last summer and are no longer in touch,” a rep for the actress said.
The son of a millionaire, Adamowicz reportedly met Watson at Oxford University when they both briefly transferred from Brown to the English University for a studies exchange in 2011.
The news of their break-up couldn’t have been timed any better as compromising photos of Watson’s now ex-boyfriend surfaced. The photos shows Adamowicz sitting at a table with packets of white powder. He has since denied that there were drugs in the packets.
“They are not packages,” he told the Mirror. “They are not drugs. They are just bits of scrap paper. I don’t take any drugs.”
In any case, we’re sure Watson is thrilled to have dodged that bullet.
