The holidays aren’t just for presents, okay that’s what it’s mostly about…but it’s also about getting into some Christmas spirit with some of our favourite artists! So many singers have taken this joyous time of year to bring us amazing, new holiday songs and I’ve put together a list of our top 10 Christmas pop songs (old and new), including Biebs and Taylor Swift! Check them out, did we miss any good ones? Which artist should release some festive holiday tunes? I’m hoping for some Fifth Harmony cheer!!!
“Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber
Oh c’mon, how could you not love this song? It’s Justin Bieber and it’s perfect for the holidays because we all want to be under the mistletoe with Biebs. And he looks so damn good in the video!
“All I Want For Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey
This is a classic and had to be on the list. Mariah Carey brought this song to life and every single time I hear it on the radio, it makes me more and more excited for Christmas, especially the high notes.
“My Only Wish (This Year)” by Britney Spears
Do you think Britney will sing this in Vegas – just to get her audience into the Christmas spirit? I’d love to hear it live! This was when Britney was in her prime, but let’s be honest, even when she wasn’t at the top of her game, she was still pretty awesome.
“Cold December Night” by Michael Buble
Michael Buble doesn’t even need a Christmas song to make me feel cheery, but he did it anyway and now I can’t go back to a time without this song!
“Love is Everything” by Ariana Grande
This is one of the newest songs, but it’s awesome. Ariana definitely brings the Christmas spirit and she makes me want a real video for this song.
“8 Days of Christmas” by Destiny’s Child
I wish my boyfriend gave me presents for the eight days leading up to Christmas, but I’m not dating Jay-Z…was Beyonce even dating him back then?
“Christmases When You Were Mine” by Taylor Swift
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little extra cheer from Taylor Swift. This song is a bit slow, but Christmas-y nonetheless and there’s no obvious boyfriend reference in this song.
“Wrapped in Red” by Kelly Clarkson
Poor Kelly was promoting for this album while she was sick, but don’t worry, she was sick for an awesome reason! The best Christmas present ever for her: she’s pregnant and we couldn’t be happier for the singer. And we love this song!
“On This Winter’s Night” by Lady Antebellum
A little bit of country cheer for your holidays – Lady Antebellum sure knows how to put us in the mood.
“Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by ‘N Sync
Sure, the video may be cheesy, but it was a cheesy time in our lives and this video was perfect for Christmas in 1998, 15 years ago.
