We didn’t want it to be true, but it’s now official: The Jonas Brothers are no longer a band.
“It’s over for now,” Kevin Jonas told People.
“It’s really hard to say ‘forever,’” added his brother, Nick Jonas. “We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
“It was a unanimous decision,” said Joe Jonas.
The news isn’t a complete surprise. Earlier this month, the band failed to release their new album V during its original fall release date. Then they cancelled their comeback tour just days before they were to hit the road because of a “deep rift within the band.” To make things worse, they deleted their Twitter account afterwards.
You see those little flecks on the ground that look like confetti? That was our hearts broken into tiny, little pieces after we heard this sad piece of news.
Hopefully, at the very least, we can hope for new music — even if it means they wrote them on their own.
