When we were last in N’awlins (this is the only way you should say New Orleans), Elijah was still being held captive, Rebekah reluctantly joined forces with Klaus to free Elijah, and pretty little Davina was on a witch-y mission to find out how to kill an Original. Apparently, not much changed this week.
Klaus’ master plan to get Elijah back was to simply ask Marcel for him back. It wasn’t an elaborate plan, so, you’ll hardly be surprised when I tell you that Marcel said no.
Rebekah and Klaus tried to convince Sophie to do a locator spell (again) to find Elijah. (You know the drill by now, no magic in Marcel’s town.) BUT, if Sophie could convince Katie (the witch/shop clerk who gave Hayley the wolf’s bane last week) to perform a spell at the same time, it would cover up the locator spell. Basically, Klaus, Rebekah and Sophie are using Katie as bait, because y’all know what happens to a witch who does magic in the quarter…
This Katie chick is in love with Thierry, who is Marcel’s right hand man (the two have been buds for 70 years). So, Marcel is willing to look the other way at the fact that Thierry is dating a witch. And, in order to keep the witches on their toes, Marcel sends his nightwalkers to stir shit up. Klaus was one step ahead though, and arranged for the rousting to go wrong. He set up Thierry, who ended up killing a fellow nightwalker to protect his beloved Katie. It would appear the saying “bros before hoes” wasn’t something Thierry learned during his supernatural training.
Marcel suited up, and looked mighty fine for his masquerade ball. Rebekah invited Marcel’s crush, Cami to the partay to keep him distracted as Operation Locate Elijah was underway. The love birds were about to kiss when Marcel’s lackey informed him of Thierry’s vampire slayer status. As a result, Marcel sentenced Thierry to 100 years in the garden (something tells us it isn’t as peaceful as it sounds).
Sophie began her locator spell, as Katie started hers to bring down the vampires/save her lover, Thierry. Klaus killed Katie to save Marcel much to Rebekah’s dismay. For protecting him, however, Marcel agreed to give back Elijah. All’s well that ends well (sort of).
Marcel then told Davina he’d be giving Elijah back to his rightful owners, and she was all “hell naaaah”:
Because she believes the “old ones” (AKA The Originals) are dangerous, Davina refused to give Elijah back until she finds out how to kill them.
In baby news, Hayley told Klaus she’s having a girl. She failed to mention it was a witch that told her, and how the witch went into a trace and began speaking in some foreign language afterwards. Hayley consulted the great powers of Internet to try to translate what the witch said with no luck.
Tune in next Tuesday for The Originals at 8 P.M. and Supernatural at 9 P.M. ON CHCH.
Full disclosure: ANDPOP and CHCH are both owned by Channel Zero.
