When Sir Paul McCartney defends the ever outgoing Miley Cyrus (to say the least), how can we argue? He’s a Beatle and he probably knows what he’s talking about, right?
In a recent interview with UK’s Sky News, The Beatles legend spoke about Miley’s provocative 2013 MTV VMA performance (yes, we’re still talking about that). “I watched it as an experiment to check, but you look at it and you go, What’s everyone shouting about?” he said.
“She’s a young girl – she’s like only 20 or something – and she’s just having a go,” McCartney explained. “Someone said to me that the world that people like Miley live in is all noise and they’ve got to get above the noise. So they’ve got to do something.”
“I think it was only mildly shocking,” he added. “She was dancing with Robin Thicke on the awards. So what? C’mon, we’ve all seen worse than that.”
It all make more sense now: Miley is just trying to get above the noise of other stars. Let’s face it, actresses like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes have definitely been making a ton of noise. Then there are reality television stars like The Kardashians. That’s a lot to try and get through.
P.S. Paul McCartney’s newest album New releases today and early reviews have been pegging it as AMAZING! Duh.
